The total TEFL intensive class is 100 hours，includes 40 hours grammar strengthen training, teaching methodology, and 60 hours teaching practice.

Grammar Course: The aim is to strengthen grammar by native thinking. The content covers IPA, Tenses, Parts of Speech, Modals, Transitivity, Linking words, ergatives, phrasal verbs, mood, passive voice and so on, all together are 26 grammar point. The course also includes the common errors both in grammar learning and teaching.

Teaching Methodology: The content covers the latest teaching methods and concept worldwide. Including classroom management, how to make lesson plans, teaching a listening class, teaching a speaking class, teaching a writing class, and teaching a grammar class. We provide 15 most popular interact practical teaching methods overseas for our students to experience themselves.

Characteristic Course
1.  Pronunciation: TEFL IEA particular design 2 pronunciation classes for Chinese English teachers. Includes the techniques of pronunciation and 23 common errors. We offer the most effective settlement to solve these problems easily.
2.  Business English: TEFL IEA offer training on business English as well, including how to make the effective lesson plan, teaching techniques and so on.
3. One-on-one session: TEFL IEA also provides teaching methodology for one-on-one session. Includes making lesson plan, students psychology and so forth.
 
Teaching Practice
Teaching practice, also know as peer teaching, is the most important part of the whole intensive training. They all carry out every afternoon. Each individual should prepare 3 lessons under the expert’s supervision. The lesson plans are different based on time, one is 20 mins, one is 30 mins and one is 45 mins.

Proficiency test and examinations
Proficiency test: Includes written examination and oral examination. The written one last one hour. The 4 parts content includes one choice questions for grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and one sentence for translation. Oral examination last 15 mins per person focus on listening and oral level.

Examinations: Includes two parts, Elementary test and Teaching practical test.
* The elementary test also includes two parts: mid-term and final.
* The teaching practical test undertakes every afternoon. The standard is based on the attendance rate, lesson plan making, and real teaching standard. The student who fails in both elementary and teaching practical tests could have one chance make-up examination, and need to repeat the course if fail again.

What is TEFL/TESOL?

The above question is probably the one we find ourselves answering the most. The use of these acronyms (amongst others) can be rather confusing, especially as they are frequently used interchangeably. Below is a list of definitions which, hopefully, should clarify their meanings:

TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign Language. This term is predominantly used when English is being taught in a country where it isn't the native language (for example teaching English to Spanish people in Spain).

TESL - Teaching English as a Second Language. This is where English is being taught to non-native speakers of English in a country where it is the native language (for example teaching emigrants to the UK/USA).

TESOL - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. This term theoretically encompasses both of the above.

ELT - English Language Teaching. This term is mainly used by institutions in the U.K.
